Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Optional: pistachios or almonds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with ½ cup of cold milk until smooth.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining milk and sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Gradually add the cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in rose water and cardamom.
  5. Pour into serving bowls and let cool before refrigerating for at least 2 hours. Garnish with nuts before serving.
