  • 4 large bread rolls (sourdough or Italian)
  • 8 oz spaghetti (uncooked)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil or parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice off the tops of the bread rolls and hollow out the insides, leaving about half an inch of bread.
  3. Boil salted water in a large pot, add spaghetti, and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, combine olive oil and minced garlic; sauté for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  5. Stir in chopped herbs, salt, and pepper; add drained spaghetti and toss with grated Parmesan until well coated.
  6. Fill each hollowed bread roll with the garlicky spaghetti mixture and top with extra cheese if desired.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
